The Hernando Tigers got by the visiting Lafayette Commodores softball squad by a count of 4-3 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Petal Panthers (Petal, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 26. Hernando will attempt to upgrade on its 6-0 season record. The Panthers go into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 8-7 non-league loss to Sumrall (Sumrall, MS).
