The Evangel Christian Lightning crushed the host Cornerstone Christian Chargers baseball team by a count of 8-2 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Lightning now possess a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Bethlehem Christian Academy for a non-league bout on Friday, March 3. Evangel Christian will face a Knights team coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Westminster Christian Academy (Watkinsville, GA). The Knights record now stands at 2-0.

Next, the Chargers face the Coosa Valley Academy Rebels (Harpersville, AL) in a AISA AA Region 1 Area 2 bout, on Monday, March 27. Cornerstone Christian will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record.
