The Parkland Matadors crushed the visiting Irvin Rockets baseball team by a count of 12-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Matadors now possess a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Bel Air for a 5A Region I District 2 bout on Tuesday, February 28. Parkland will face a Highlanders team coming off a 8-7 non-league loss to Empire (Tucson, AZ). The Highlanders record now stands at 3-2.
