Mississippi High School Basketball - Morton nudges Port Gibson

February 25, 2023: Port Gibson, MS 39150

Morton Panthers (Morton, MS) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS), 48-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Morton upgrades its record to 22-5 on the season.

Next up, the Blue Waves clash with the Booneville Blue Devils (Booneville, MS) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 27. Port Gibson will attempt to upgrade on its 21-7 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 28-2 record after their 58-12 non-league win over Edwards (Ruleville, MS).
