Massachusetts High School Ice Hockey - Cushing Academy defeated by Governor's Academy
February 25, 2023: Byfield, MA 01922 Governor's Academy Governors (Byfield, MA) followers left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their ice hockey team achieve victory over the visiting Cushing Academy Penguins (Ashburnham, MA), 4-1 in a league match.
The Governors (10-10) will now prepare for their match against Lawrence Academy (Groton, MA). The Spartans enter the non-league match with a 10-11 record. In their last match, Lawrence Academy tipped Tabor Academy (Marion, MA), 3-2, in a league match.
Next up, the Penguins clash with the Kimball Union Academy Wildcats (Meriden, NH) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, March 1. Cushing Academy will attempt to improve on its 23-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 22-10 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Holderness (Plymouth, NH).
