Michigan High School Basketball - Pontiac overwhelmed by University

February 25, 2025: Ferndale, MI 48220

In Tuesday's league test, the University Eagles (Ferndale, MI) basketball squad trounced the visiting Pontiac Phoenix (Pontiac, MI), by a score of 53-29.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Academy of the Sacred Heart Gazelles (Bloomfield Hills, MI) in a non-league test, on Thursday, February 27. University will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Gazelles come into the test with a 3-11 record after their 21-19 non-league win over Austin Catholic (Chesterfield, MI).

The Phoenix (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Glenn (Westland, MI). The Rockets come into the non-league test with a 2-18 record. In their last test, Glenn was trounced by Novi (Novi, MI), 57-22, in a non-league game.
