The Ardrey Kell Knights softball team scored 11 runs and held the host Independence Patriots to 4 in the Knights league victory on Wednesday.

Next, the Knights meet the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) in a non-league test, on Thursday, February 26. Ardrey Kell will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record.

The Patriots (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Ballantyne Ridge (Charlotte, NC). The Wolves go into the Southwestern 4A test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Ballantyne Ridge was routed by Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC), 15-0, in a non-league test.
