The Highlands Highlanders basketball team (Highlands, NC), dropped 42-27 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC)

The Cougars now possess a 22-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Starmount for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 1. Mountain Heritage will battle a Rams team coming off a 42-36 non-league win over Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC). The Rams record now stands at 13-11.
