The Swain County Maroon Devils basketball team (Bryson City, NC), was overwhelmed 58-37 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC)

The Highlanders now possess a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Murphy for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 18. Highlands will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 71-62 non-league win over Enka (Enka, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-2.

The Maroon Devils (6-10) will now prepare for their battle against Rabun County (Tiger, GA). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 13-3 record. In their last battle, Rabun County trounced Union County (Blairsville, GA), 74-73, in a league battle.
