Curry Yellowjackets (Jasper, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Helena Huskies (Helena, AL), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Yellowjackets now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gardendale for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 1. Curry will face a Rockets squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Austin (Decatur, AL). The Rockets record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Helena falls to 7-1 on the campaign. The Huskies host Brookwood (Brookwood, AL) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 1.
