Harlingen Cardinals (Harlingen, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting United South Panthers (Laredo, TX), 17-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Vernia for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 4.

With the loss, United South falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Panthers host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX) to battle the Bears in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 26.
