Michigan High School Basketball - Houghton knocked off by Jeffers
February 27, 2023: Houghton, MI 49931 The Jeffers Jets basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Houghton Gremlins to 58 in the Jets non-league triumph on Monday.
The Jets now sport a 18-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dollar Bay for a Copper Mountain - Copper County contest on Thursday, March 2. Jeffers will meet a Bays team coming off a 57-36 league win over Chassell (Chassell, MI). The Bays record now stands at 10-10.
The Gremlins (14-6) will now prepare for their contest against Westwood (Ishpeming, MI). The Patriots enter the Western Peninsula contest with a 11-9 record. In their last challenge, Westwood was dropped by Gladstone (Gladstone, MI), 43-32, in a non-league challenge.
