Wessington Springs Spartans (Wessington Springs, SD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Avon Pirates (Avon, SD), 62-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wessington Springs upgrades its record to 21-1 on the season. The Spartans travel to Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Friday, March 1. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 12-9. Corsica/Stickney won 61-56 in their recent non-league bout against Marty Indian (Marty, SD)
