In Thursday's non-league test, the Highland Hawks (Gilbert, AZ) softball squad overwhelmed the host Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ), by a tally of 20-4.

Next, the Hawks clash with the Perry Pumas (Gilbert, AZ) in a non-league test, on Friday, February 28. Highland will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Pumas go into the test with a 1-1 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ).

The Aztecs (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ). The Firebirds go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Chaparral was routed by Perry (Gilbert, AZ), 7-6, in a non-league test.
