In Friday's non-league battle, the Springfield Bulldogs (Springfield, LA) baseball team smashed the visiting Independence Tigers (Independence, LA), by a tally of 11-1.

The Bulldogs (9-1) will now prepare for their battle against Holden (Holden, LA). The Rockets enter the non-league battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Holden was overwhelmed by Sulphur (Sulphur, LA), 17-0, in a non-league battle.
