The Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA) baseball overwhelmed the host Springfield Bulldogs (Springfield, LA), 11-4 in Tuesday's league bout.

Next up, the Cowboys encounter the Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, March 11. Sumner will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 3-9 record after their 6-5 non-league loss to Livonia (Livonia, LA).

The Bulldogs (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Sumner (Kentwood, LA). The Cowboys go into the 3A District 8 challenge with a 13-4 record.
