Johnston Dragons (Johnston, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Dowling Catholic Maroons (West Des Moines, IA), 47-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Johnston upgrades its record to 22-0 on the season. The Dragons travel to Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Thursday, March 3. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 20-2. Pleasant Valley won 52-47 in their recent non-league bout against Iowa City (Iowa City, IA)
