The Newton County Academy Generals (Decatur, MS) baseball trounced the host Hillcrest Christian Cougars (Jackson, MS), 18-1 in Tuesday's non-league contest.

In their next game, the Generals battle the Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders (Pearl, MS) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, March 7. Newton County Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.

With the defeat, Hillcrest Christian falls to 0-5 on the season. The Cougars host Canton Academy (Canton, MS) to battle the Panthers in a MAIS AAAA District 3 test on Monday, March 6.
