Alaska High School Basketball - Nikiski overwhelmed by Kenai Central
February 28, 2023: Nikiski, AK 99635 The Kenai Central Kardinals basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host Nikiski Bulldogs to 38 in the Kardinals league victory on Tuesday.
The Kardinals now sport a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grace Christian for a 3A Peninsula contest on Friday, March 3. Kenai Central will battle a Grizzlies team coming off a 70-39 league win over Seward (Seward, AK). The Grizzlies record now stands at 19-2.
The Bulldogs (4-18) will now prepare for their contest against Houston (Big Lake, AK). The Hawks come into the non-league contest with a 18-4 record. In their last contest, Houston triumphed over Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK), 79-32, in a non-league contest.
