In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Lewis County Minutemen basketball team scored a tight 57-55 triumph over the Nicholas County Grizzlies.

In their next game, the Minutemen meet the Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) in a non-league match, on Friday, March 3. Lewis County will attempt to move on its 12-10 season record. The Huskies enter the match with a 16-6 record after their 72-52 league win over Sissonville (Charleston, WV).

With the defeat, Nicholas County moves to 11-12 on the year.
