R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting McDowell Titans (Marion, NC), 5-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, R-S Central upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 8. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 0-1.

With the defeat, McDowell falls to 0-1 on the season. The Titans travel to Owen (Black Mountain, NC) to battle the Warhorses in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 1. The Warhorses come into the test with a record of 0-1. Owen lost 13-1 in their recent non-league test against A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC)
