Avalon Eagles (Avalon, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Gholson (Waco, TX), 20-10 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Abbott for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 4. Avalon will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Blum (Blum, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 3-1.
