The East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) softball routed the host North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC), 16-2 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Cardinals (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, South Caldwell toppled Cox Mill (Concord, NC), 7-0, in a non-league bout.
