The McDowell Titans baseball team (Marion, NC), was overwhelmed 10-5 in Wednesday's non-league outing with the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC)

The Hilltoppers now hold a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Lincoln for a non-league outing on Friday, March 1. R-S Central will confront a Rebels team coming off a 13-2 non-league win over Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Rebels record now stands at 1-0.
