Mendez Jaguars (Los Angeles, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Belmont Sentinels (Los Angeles, CA), 23-5 in a league challenge.

The Jaguars now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Torres for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 1. Mendez will face a Toros squad coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Lincoln (Los Angeles, CA). The Toros record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Belmont falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Sentinels host Downtown Magnets (Los Angeles, CA) to face the Suns in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 4.
