Louisiana High School Baseball - Catholic of Pointe Coupee loses to Covington
February 28, 2025: New Roads, LA 70760 Covington Lions (Covington, LA) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA), 9-1 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Covington advances its record to 8-4 on the season. The Lions travel to Central Catholic (Morgan City, LA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, March 1. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 3-6. Central Catholic won 4-3 in their recent non-league match against Bourgeois (Gray, LA)
The Hornets now have a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Catholic for a non-league match on Friday, February 28. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Bourgeois (Gray, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 3-6.
