Louisiana High School Baseball - Central Private sneaks past Catholic of Pointe Coupee
April 11, 2025: Baker, LA 70714 The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Central Private Redhawks (Baker, LA) and the visiting Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA), saw Central Private's baseball team get by Catholic of Pointe Coupee by a tally of 5-4.
The Redhawks (18-14) will now prepare for their battle against St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, LA). The Comets enter the non-league battle with a 20-12 record. In their last battle, St. Charles Catholic was tipped by Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA), 11-1, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Hornets face the Prairieville Hurricanes (Prairieville, LA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 14. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will attempt to upgrade on its 13-17 season record. The Hurricanes enter the battle with a 3-4 record after their 5-4 league win over East Ascension (Gonzales, LA).
