The Franklin Panthers baseball squad (Franklin, NC), was edged 5-4 in Friday's non-league contest with the host North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC)

With the triumph, North Buncombe moves its record to 3-0 on the season. The Black Hawks host Pisgah (Canton, NC) to confront the Bears in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 4. The Bears come into the contest with a record of 2-0.

The Panthers now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Murphy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 4. Franklin will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 17-16 non-league loss to Franklin (Franklin, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.
