The Steele Canyon Cougars softball squad (Spring Valley, CA), was routed 21-2 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders (Chula Vista, CA)

With the triumph, Mater Dei Catholic improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Point Loma (San Diego, CA) to face the Pointers in a non-league contest on Monday, March 3. The Pointers enter the contest with a record of 2-0. Point Loma won 13-5 in their recent non-league contest against West Hills (Santee, CA)

The Cougars now hold a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Rancho Bernardo for a non-league contest on Monday, March 3. Steele Canyon will face a Broncos squad coming off a 20-4 non-league loss to Mt. Carmel (San Diego, CA). The Broncos record now stands at 0-1.
