The Lake Hornets triumphed over the visiting Morton Panthers softball squad by a count of 18-2 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Hornets meet the Forest Bearcats (Forest, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 1. Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Bearcats enter the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 23-5 non-league win over Leake County (Walnut Grove, MS).

The Panthers (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Sebastopol (Sebastopol, MS). The Bobcats enter the non-league challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Sebastopol overcame Taylorsville (Taylorsville, MS), 23-1, in a non-league challenge.
