In Friday's non-league test, the New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) softball squad overwhelmed the host South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS), by a tally of 12-3.

Next, the Trojans meet the Caledonia Cavaliers (Caledonia, MS) in a non-league test, on Monday, March 3. New Hope will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The Cavaliers go into the test with a 6-1 record after their 9-1 non-league win over Germantown (Madison, MS).

The Cougars (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Ethel (Ethel, MS). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record.
