In Saturday's non-league bout, the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Sabine Cardinals (Gladewater, TX), by a tally of 12-4.

Next up, the Yellowjackets encounter the North DeSoto Griffins (Stonewall, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 3. Elysian Fields will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Griffins enter the bout with a 10-2 record after their 10-8 non-league win over Pineville (Pineville, LA).

With the defeat, Sabine drops to 3-5 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Tatum (Tatum, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a 3A Region II District 16 challenge on Tuesday, March 3. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 6-3. Tatum won 6-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Center (Center, TX)
