The Needles Mustangs routed the visiting Fernley Vaqueros baseball team by a count of 7-0 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Mustangs now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pinecrest Academy Cadence for a non-league test on Thursday, March 5.

With the loss, Fernley falls to 4-1 on the campaign. The Vaqueros travel to Dayton (Dayton, NV) to encounter the Dust Devils in a 3A Northern outing on Friday, March 6. The Dust Devils enter the outing with a record of 0-3. Dayton lost 12-7 in their recent non-league outing against Pahrump Valley (Pahrump, NV)
