In Saturday's league game, the host Fernley Vaqueros baseball team scored a close 12-5 victory over the Lowry Buckaroos.

The Vaqueros (12-5) will now prepare for their game against South Tahoe (South Lake Tahoe, CA). The Vikings enter the 3A Northern match with a 3-11 record. In their last match, South Tahoe was overwhelmed by Elko (Elko, NV), 6-0, in a league match.

The Buckaroos now possess a 0-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Spring Creek for a 3A Northern match on Friday, April 3. Lowry will confront a Spartans squad coming off a 14-3 league loss to Churchill County (Fallon, NV). The Spartans record now stands at 11-6.
