Florida High School Softball - Lafayette bounces Chiefland
February 29, 2024: Chiefland, FL 32626 Lafayette Hornets (Mayo, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Chiefland Indians (Chiefland, FL), 13-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Hornets now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Union County for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 1. Lafayette will battle a Fightin' Tigers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Branford (Branford, FL). The Fightin' Tigers record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Chiefland falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Indians host Suwannee (Live Oak, FL) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 4. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Suwannee won 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Lafayette (Mayo, FL)
