The Cypress Creek Cougars (Houston, TX) softball routed the host Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX), 9-4 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Cougars (4-4) will now prepare for their bout against Tomball Memorial (Tomball, TX). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 7-4 record. In their last bout, Tomball Memorial was routed by Langham Creek (Houston, TX), 10-3, in a non-league challenge.

With the loss, Cypress Lakes falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Spartans host Cypress Ridge (Houston, TX) to battle the Rams in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Cypress Ridge won 17-2 in their recent league challenge against Spring Woods (Houston, TX)
