California High School Basketball - Alameda can't hold off Berkeley
February 3, 2023: Alameda, CA 94501 The Berkeley Yellowjackets basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the host Alameda Hornets to 54 in the Yellowjackets league victory on Friday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 17-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Joseph Notre Dame for a West Alameda County - Foothill contest on Wednesday, February 8. Berkeley will battle a Pilots team coming off a 59-28 league loss to San Leandro (San Leandro, CA). The Pilots record now stands at 5-17.
The Hornets (18-6) will now prepare for their contest against Castro Valley (Castro Valley, CA). The Trojans come into the West Alameda County - Foothill contest with a 9-14 record. In their last contest, Castro Valley was nudged by Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA), 58-47, in a league contest.
