The Union County Fightin' Tigers basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Branford Buccaneers to 43 in the Fightin' Tigers non-league victory on Friday.

The Fightin' Tigers now sport a 13-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bell for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. Union County will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 63-51 non-league win over Countryside Christian (Gainesville, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-21.

The Buccaneers (17-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lafayette (Mayo, FL). The Hornets come into the non-league contest with a 6-14 record. In their last contest, Lafayette was routed by Oak Hall (Gainesville, FL), 60-35, in a non-league contest.
