February 3, 2023: Winchester, IL 62621 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars (Winchester, IL) and the visiting Carrollton Hawks (Carrollton, IL), saw West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs]'s basketball squad wallop Carrollton by a count of 77-52.
With the victory, West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] upgrades its record to 19-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL) to play the Explorers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Explorers come into the challenge with a record of 15-11. Marquette Catholic won 40-38 in their recent league challenge against Christ Our Rock Lutheran (Centralia, IL)
Next up, the Hawks play the Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Carrollton will attempt to upgrade on its 8-17 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 13-13 record after their 58-42 league loss to Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL).
