Texas High School Basketball - Richland Springs holds off Cherokee
February 3, 2023: Richland Springs, TX 76871 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Richland Springs Coyotes (Richland Springs, TX) and the visiting Cherokee Indians (Cherokee, TX), saw Richland Springs's basketball squad hold off Cherokee by a tally of 45-43.
With the victory, Richland Springs improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Lometa (Lometa, TX) to confront the Hornets in a 1A Region III District 17 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 6-7.
Next up, the Indians confront the Lohn Eagles (Lohn, TX) in a 1A Region III District 17 challenge, on Saturday, February 4. Cherokee will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-17 record after their 65-16 league loss to Rochelle (Rochelle, TX).
