February 3, 2023: Marion, IL 62959 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lovejoy Wildcats (Lovejoy, IL) and the host Crab Orchard Trojans (Marion, IL), saw Lovejoy's basketball squad hold off Crab Orchard by a tally of 120-118.
With the victory, Lovejoy improves its record to 14-9 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Madison (Madison, IL) to play the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 13-11. Madison won 65-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Quest Charter Academy (Peoria, IL)
Next up, the Trojans play the Carrier Mills-Stonefort Wildcats (Carrier Mills, IL) in a Greater Egyptian challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Crab Orchard will attempt to improve on its 19-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-18 record after their 50-46 non-league win over Galatia (Galatia, IL).
