Fans at Friday's league challenge between the New Garden Friends Bears (Greensboro, NC) and the host Varsity Opponent (, ), saw New Garden Friends's basketball squad hold off Varsity Opponent by a tally of 60-58.

With the victory, New Garden Friends improves its record to 19-6 on the campaign. The Bears host College Prep & Leadership Academy (Jamestown, NC) to play the Royals in a CAASC Central Carolina - West challenge on Tuesday, February 7.
