The Northwest Mohawks basketball team (McDermott, OH), was routed 58-36 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Wheelersburg Pirates (Wheelersburg, OH)

The Pirates now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valley for a Southern Ohio II battle on Tuesday, February 7. Wheelersburg will battle a Indians team coming off a 70-51 non-league win over Whiteoak (Mowrystown, OH). The Indians record now stands at 15-5.

The Mohawks (14-6) will now prepare for their battle against Rock Hill (Ironton, OH). The Redmen come into the non-league battle with a 9-11 record. In their last battle, Rock Hill was routed by South Point (South Point, OH), 64-50, in a league battle.
