In Friday's league outing, the Timpson Bears (Timpson, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Shelbyville Dragons (Shelbyville, TX), by a count of 81-43.

The Bears (16-3) will now prepare for their outing against Tenaha (Tenaha, TX). The Tigers go into the 2A Region III District 23 outing with a 14-14 record. In their last outing, Tenaha smashed Garrison (Garrison, TX), 61-44, in a league outing.

The Dragons now hold a 18-8 record. They play next when they host Beckville for a 2A Region III District 23 outing on Tuesday, February 7. Shelbyville will clash with a Bearcats squad coming off a 56-48 league win over Gary (Gary, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 22-6.
