Virginia High School Basketball - Stuart Hall holds off Covenant
February 3, 2023: Staunton, VA 24401 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Stuart Hall Dragons (Staunton, VA) and the visiting Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA), saw Stuart Hall's basketball squad hold off Covenant by a tally of 40-38.
With the victory, Stuart Hall improves its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Massanutten Military Academy (Woodstock, VA) to confront the Colonels in a VISAA Division III challenge on Monday, February 6. The Colonels come into the challenge with a record of 3-7. Massanutten Military Academy lost 69-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Randolph-Macon Academy (Front Royal, VA)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Hargrave Military Academy Tigers (Chatham, VA) in a Virginia Independent challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Covenant will attempt to improve on its 1-18 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 16-4 record after their 102-54 league win over Fishburne Military (Waynesboro, VA).
