The Verde Valley (Sedona, AZ) varsity basketball team lost Friday's home conference game against Wickenburg Christian Academy (Wickenburg, AZ) by a score of 48-20.
The Wickenburg Christian Academy Lion basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Verde Valley Coyotes to 20 in the Lion league triumph on Friday.
The Lion now sport a 21-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brighton Charter for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. Wickenburg Christian Academy will meet a Tigers team coming off a 79-18 league loss to Arrowhead Christian Academy (Glendale, AZ). The Tigers record now stands at 1-10.
The Coyotes (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Tri City Prep (Prescott, AZ). The Panthers enter the Canyon Division 1 - Fiesta contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Tri City Prep triumphed over Orme (Mayer, AZ), 64-56, in a league contest.
