Maryland High School Basketball - Walkersville overwhelms Williamsport
February 3, 2023: Walkersville, MD 21793 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Walkersville Lions (Walkersville, MD) and the visiting Williamsport Wildcats (Williamsport, MD), saw Walkersville's basketball squad wallop Williamsport by a tally of 67-45.
With the victory, Walkersville improves its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Smithsburg (Smithsburg, MD) to play the Leopards in a CMC challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Leopards come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Smithsburg won 58-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Allegany (Cumberland, MD)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Middletown Knights (Middletown, MD) in a CMC challenge, on Wednesday, February 8. Williamsport will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 14-5 record after their 41-40 league win over Brunswick (Brunswick, MD).
