Akron Tigers (Akron, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Barker Raiders (Barker, NY), 42-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Akron upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Tigers host Royalton-Hartland (Middleport, NY) to clash with the Rams in a Section 6 Niagara - Orleans bout on Tuesday, February 7.
