Arvin Bears (Arvin, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Foothill Trojans (Bakersfield, CA), 40-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Arvin upgrades its record to 10-16 on the season. The Bears travel to Mira Monte (Bakersfield, CA) to play the Lions in a South Yosemite - Horizon bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 15-6. Mira Monte won 73-43 in their recent non-league bout against North (Bakersfield, CA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Golden Valley Bulldogs (Bakersfield, CA) in a South Yosemite - Horizon bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Foothill will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 14-7 record after their 47-40 non-league win over West (Bakersfield, CA).
