February 3, 2023: Stratford, TX 79084 In Friday's league challenge, the host Stratford Elks basketball squad scored a big 77-9 victory over the Booker Kiowas.
With the victory, Stratford improves its record to 19-10 on the campaign. The Elks travel to Sunray (Sunray, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 2A Region I District 1 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 19-11. Sunray lost 65-37 in their recent league challenge against Gruver (Gruver, TX)
Next up, the Kiowas play the West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX) in a 2A Region I District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Booker will attempt to improve on its 6-21 season record. The Comanches come into the challenge with a 17-13 record after their 41-40 league loss to Sanford-Fritch (Fritch, TX).
